Shoreline Cleanup with the RBG

Join the RBG for a Volunteer Shoreline Cleanup in Carroll’s Bay!

The cleanup that was scheduled for this Saturday has been rescheduled for Monday, December 15, from 2pm until sunset.  This is to give the snow time to melt so we can see the garbage.  As a reminder details are below. Please wear rubber boots and gloves (if you have them).  No pre-registration required.  Garbage bags and some gloves provided. Hope to see you there!

Low water levels in the fall both reveal garbage in natural areas as well as provide easy access to the otherwise difficult to access locations. This fall there is a large amount of garbage that has accumulated along the shoreline of Carroll’s Bay in Hamilton Harbour. Garbage along the waters edge not only looks bad but can be fatal for fish and wildlife. There is likely 20 to 30 bags of garbage to be collected so we need your help! Please come out and lend a hand to putting this waste in the right place. Meet at the Valley Inn parking lot at 9:30am on Saturday December 13th.  Garbage bags and some gloves provided.

When (Updated): December 15th, 2014, 2:00pm to sunset

Where: Meet at Valley Inn parking lot.  1200 Spring Garden Rd in Burlington
