Take Action Burlington

Mayor Rick Goldring’s Inspire Burlington Series and the City of Burlington are hosting a free community event called Take Action Burlington on Tuesday, November 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Royal Botanical Gardens at 680 Plains Road West.

The event focuses on what individuals, businesses and community leaders can do to continue to work towards fostering a healthy, green community.

Highlights include:

·        Keynote speaker - CEO and president of World Wildlife Fund Canada David Miller. Miller was the Mayor of Toronto between 2003 and 2010 and chair of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group from 2008 to 2010

·        Mayor Goldring will give a presentation on environmentally sustainable projects and initiatives at the City of Burlington

·        Interactive exhibits from green-minded community groups before and after the presentations
