100in1Day is a growing global movement that is changing how people interact with their cities. Originating in Bogotá, Colombia in 2012, it has encouraged hundreds of one-day community-based interventions in cities around the world. Interventions can include things like street art, urban gardens, beautification projects, social events, and improvements in city infrastructure, which are all being profiled on the same day in a city-wide festival. This year, Hamilton will be joining cities around the world including Toronto, Vancouver, and Halifax who will all be activating their communities on Saturday, June 6th.
Hamilton SPN is pleased to be hosting a 100in1Day Workshop.
Monday, May 11
541 Barton Street
This workshop process is meant to introduce 100 in 1 Day Hamilton, inspire creative and reflective urban initiatives, and for you to share your ideas for making your city a better place to live. The hope is that you leave feeling inspired to lead your own action on June 6th or join the actions of others.
